MOSCOW, Sep 29 Malta national football team head coach Davis Manja denied the accusations in sexual harassment of the players. According to the Times of Malta, two football players of the national team accused the specialist of harassment. The Malta Football Association on Wednesday announced the launch of an internal investigation and suspended Manja from work. «In connection with the news that appeared in the national press, I am obliged to clarify that I have never committed any act that would damage the personal or sexual dignity of anyone or from the players or other members of the organization. This is an unfounded and false accusation, causing serious damage to my personal dignity and professional reputation,» Manja said in an open letter published by La Repubblica. The specialist noted that if such news continues to be published, he reserves the right to go to court. Mandja led the Malta national team in 2020. Previously, he coached Palermo, La Spezia, Bari and the Italy under-21 team, with which he won silver at the 2013 European Championship.
