Russian skeletonist received a summons from the military registration and enlistment office

MOSCOW, Oct 2, Oleg Bogatov. Participated in the 2018 Olympic Games in Korea, 25-year-old Russian skeletonist Vladislav Marchenkov, said that he had received a summons to mobilize and should arrive at the recruiting station on October 4. Marchenkov took 15th place at the 2018 Games in Pyeongchang. The athlete plays for the Moscow national team. “I live in Moscow and a few days ago I received a summons to mobilize. I went to the military registration and enlistment office, but due to the fact that I did not have a military ID, I was given a delay until October 4. The fact is, that I got married this year and was going to move to live in the Krasnodar Territory. And some of the documents, including a military ID, were already at the new place of residence. Yesterday I already received a military ID and on October 4 I will go to the recruiting station,” said Marchenkov “I play for CSKA and am a private in the reserve. My mood is good, now my wife, mother and sister are more worried about me,” the agency’s interlocutor added. Partial mobilization has been announced in Russia since September 21 by decree of President Vladimir Putin. According to Defense Minister Sergei Shoigu, it is needed to control the 1,000-kilometer line of contact and the liberated territories in Ukraine. During the mobilization, a total of 300,000 reservists will be called up, which is just over 1% of the total mobilization resource of the Russian Federation.
