Judge of the Ussuriysk District Court Galina Lazareva extended the compulsory treatment of the Yakut shaman Alexander Gabyshev. His lawyer Alexander Pryanishnikov announced this on his telegram channel.
“Our petitions for the appointment of a psychological and psychiatric examination at the Serbsky Research Institute in Moscow were denied -“ all this is too long. We will appeal to the appeal,” wrote the defender.
In September, the Primorsky Regional Court overturned the decision on the compulsory treatment of Gabyshev in a specialized psychiatric hospital and sent the claim for a new trial. Then Pryanishnikov hoped that after reviewing the case, the defendant would at least be transferred to a general hospital in Yakutsk. context-cite__image» alt=»1″ />«I'd rather go to the colony but don't treat me. A two-year journey of a shaman from Yakutsk to a psychiatric clinic
A shaman was forcibly sent to a specialized institution with intensive supervision in 2021. At first, the shaman was in Novosibirsk, but then he was transferred to Ussuriysk.
The reason for such a punishment was the case of the use of violence against a fighter of the National Guard (Part 2 of Article 318 of the Criminal Code). According to investigators, when 50 law enforcers came to his house for forced hospitalization, the shaman wounded the law enforcer with a homemade bladed weapon.
As a result, Gabyshev was declared insane and was forcibly hospitalized. The shaman rose to prominence in 2019 when he first headed towards Moscow to «exile» President Vladimir Putin. In total, he twice announced a campaign against Moscow.
