Later, the 25-year-old athlete was given a temporary deferment from conscription until October 10. «Today I was at the military registration and enlistment office (in Moscow), as I was prescribed earlier. And only now I returned home. They sorted out my military ID, checked all the data and said, that I do not fall under the conditions of partial mobilization,» Marchenkov said. Marchenkov took 15th place at the 2018 Games. The athlete plays for the Moscow national team.
