During the debate in the Tverskoy District Court of Moscow, the prosecutor requested 5 years in a penal colony for actionist Pavel Krisevich in the case of a performance with a shot on Red Square. This was reported by the head of the international human rights group «Agora» Pavel Chikov with reference to the lawyer Leonid Solovyov.
Krisevich is accused of hooliganism (Part 2 of Article 213 of the Criminal Code). He was arrested in June 2021, since then the actionist has been in jail. The case was brought up after the action with the firing of noise cartridges on Red Square. According to the Ministry of Internal Affairs, near the Kremlin, he “fired several shots into the air from a blanked weapon and imitated the third one into himself.”
Krisevich himself said that he shot himself “indicatively” in the head and fell on the paving stones. He did the performance “for himself”. Before the shot, Krisevich read out a manifesto ending with the words: “We will respond to force and repression with fearlessness. Because there will be no more fear. Shots will follow before the Kremlin curtain.»
