MOSCOW, Oct 20 Ten National Olympic Committees are interested in organizing the Summer Olympic Games in 2036, according to Inside the Games portal, citing a statement by International Olympic Committee (IOC) CEO Christoph de Koepper at the General Assembly of the Association of National Olympic Committees (ANOC). The ANOC General Assembly is held October 18-21 in Seoul (South Korea). Earlier it was reported that Russia, Egypt, Germany, Mexico, Turkey, India and Qatar are claiming to host the 2036 Games. De Kepper did not list the applicant countries, noting that the projects they have developed are currently at very different stages. At the 2030 Games, the IOC CEO confirmed that he is continuing an ongoing dialogue with Vancouver, Sapporo and Salt Lake City. Each city will be evaluated in November. The final choice should be made next year at the IOC session in Mumbai. The 2024 Summer Olympics will be held in Paris, in 2028 the Olympics will be hosted by Los Angeles (USA), and in 2032 by Brisbane, Australia. The upcoming Winter Games 2026 will be held in Milan and Cortina d'Ampezzo, Italy.
