MOSCOW, Oct 19 Formula 1 team Ferrari will deliver modified engine for Charles Leclerc's car at the US Grand Prix, according to motorsport.com. The team wants to test a new version of the engine to be sure of it in the 2023 season. Currently, the refinement of motors in Formula 1 is frozen until 2026 , however teams may make changes to the design to improve reliability and under the control of the International Automobile Federation (FIA). In this regard, before the 2022 season, the team specifically made a bet on creating the most powerful engine with the ability to work out reliability issues later. It is noted that the improvements have affected the replacement of materials from which engine parts are made, while the design has not changed. For Leclerc, this will be the sixth engine of the season, so the Monegasque will lose five positions at the start of the US Grand Prix race, which will be held from October 21 to 23 on «Route of the Americas» in Austin. Leclerc (252 points) is third in the drivers' standings, 1 point behind Red Bull's Sergio Perez. Red Bull driver Max Verstappen became the champion ahead of schedule.
