President of the Russian Fencing Federation (FFR) Ilgar Mammadov said that at the request of the FFR, a civil court session in Switzerland to consider a lawsuit due to the suspension of Russians from international competitions was postponed to December 9. At the end of February, the International Olympic Committee recommended that international sports federations not allow Russian and Belarusian athletes to participate in competitions from for the situation in Ukraine. A number of international federations, including the International Fencing Federation (FIE), have followed this recommendation. Preliminary court hearings on the removal of the Russians took place in the summer. The FIE Congress will be held on November 25-26 in Lausanne.» The court session in Switzerland was postponed at the request of our federation, now it will take place on December 9.
