Macron promised Zelensky to increase military assistance to Ukraine

PARIS, Nov 1 French President Emmanuel Macron confirmed to Vladimir Zelensky France's intention to strengthen military assistance to Ukraine, including in the field of air defense, is stated in the communiqué of the Elysee Palace.
The telephone conversation between Macron and Zelensky took place on Tuesday. The parties discussed the latest developments in Ukraine.

“The head of state confirmed the full mobilization of France for the speedy increase in military support for Ukraine, including in terms of air defense,” the Elysee Palace said in a statement.

br>In addition, Macron and Zelensky discussed the situation at the Zaporozhye nuclear power plant, Russia's allegations that Kyiv is preparing a “dirty bomb”, as well as the decision of the Russian Federation to suspend its participation in the “product deal”.
Russia had previously sent a note to NATO countries due to supplies armaments to Ukraine. Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov noted that any cargo that contains weapons for Ukraine will become a legitimate target for Russia. The Foreign Ministry of the Russian Federation stated that the NATO countries are “playing with fire” by supplying weapons to Ukraine. Press Secretary of the President of the Russian Federation Dmitry Peskov noted that pumping Ukraine with weapons from the West does not contribute to the success of Russian-Ukrainian negotiations and will have a negative effect.
