The talks between Putin and Pashinyan continued with a tête-à-tête meeting

SOCHI, Oct 31 Talks between Russian President Vladimir Putin and the Prime Minister Armenia Nikol Pashinyan in an expanded format, which lasted just over an hour, ended and continued face-to-face.
The meeting was held before the trilateral summit of the Russian Federation, Armenia and Azerbaijan in Sochi.
At the very beginning of the negotiations, Putin expressed the hope that at the the meeting will be able to move forward on the Karabakh settlement issue. He stressed that the conflict must be ended.

Pashinyan said that the issue of the release of Armenian prisoners has not yet been resolved. Yerevan, according to him, is interested in unblocking regional transport communications and is ready to make appropriate decisions at any moment.

Pashinyan also noted that it is important for Armenia to withdraw Azerbaijani troops from the zone of responsibility of Russian peacekeepers in Karabakh.
