BRUSSELS, Nov 6 European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen said in a telephone conversation with Volodymyr Zelensky that next week she would present a plan for financial support for Ukraine in 2023, the amount of which would reach 18 billion euros.
«Von der Leyen informed Zelensky that she would present a significant financial package as early as this week which will reach 1.5 billion euros per month, the total amount will be up to 18 billion, which will greatly contribute to covering the financial needs of Ukraine in 2023,» the EC said in a statement.
It is added that this support in the form of preferential long-term loans with interest coverage will also help Ukraine carry out reforms on the way to EU membership.
Brussels expects that other international donors of Ukraine will also provide comparable assistance to Kyiv.
