Since the beginning of the war the status of a combat veteran has already been granted to the military involved in the invasion of Ukraine, to the FSB officers who “repelled armed provocations on the border” , and civilian specialists, such as doctors and builders.
In October, Putin signed a law on credit holidays for war veterans. They were also given a tax break. The mobilized and their relatives, in turn, were exempted from penalties for late payment of utility bills.
