SIMFEROPOL, Nov 17 Kyiv authorities will be required to pay reparations to Russia for the shelling and destruction of its four new regions, said State Duma deputy from the Crimean region Mikhail Sheremet.
The UN General Assembly by a majority vote on Monday adopted a draft resolution on compensation for damage to Kyiv suffered «as a result of the internationally illegal actions of the Russian Federation in Ukraine or against her.» The Kremlin said that the UN resolution on reparations to Kyiv is a legally non-binding document.
«If the current Kyiv regime thinks that they can shell Donbass, Kherson and Zaporozhye regions with impunity, then they are deeply mistaken. The time will come when they will have to pay reparations for the destruction of our regions and fully answer before the law,» Sheremet said.
According to him, the damage caused will definitely be calculated, and the bill will be billed to Ukraine.
