< br />MOSCOW, 14 Nov. Fashion house Balenciaga has removed its Twitter account, according to Business of Fashion.
«The Paris-based brand declined to comment on the move, but confirmed that it has removed its page from the platform,» the post reads.
The company's account recently had 950,000 followers.
The fashion house has become the first major fashion brand to leave the platform amid unrest over how the social network is viewed by its new owner.
A number of corporations, including General Motors and Dyson, have already suspended advertising campaigns, and celebrities, including Gigi Hadid, have quit Twitter since Musk bought the platform in late October.
Some companies and users worry that the new owner's plans for massive layoffs and the emphasis on encouraging free speech will lead to weaker content moderation.
