TBILISI, Dec 3 Supporters of jailed former Georgian President Mikhail Saakashvili held a rally in his support on the central streets of Tbilisi.

It is also noted that oppositionists from the United National Movement, together with sympathizers, have gathered near the office of the ruling Georgian Dream party — they demand transfer of Saakashvili for treatment in a foreign clinic. Patrol police brigades are on duty to ensure order.
«Today there will be no political messages and political demands. Today is a solidarity rally,» Levan Khabeishvili, a member of the United National Movement, told journalists. Earlier, Saakashvili's lawyer Shalva Khachapuridze said that the politician asked his supporters to stop political campaigning during the action.
