In principle, it is whether Kyiv is ready to commit itself to stop shelling and attempts to seize the ZNPP, and also whether the IAEA will be able to achieve the implementation of such hypothetical agreements by Ukrainians,» the official representative of the Russian Foreign Ministry added.
Earlier Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Sergei Ryabkov said that some European countries are participating in consultations on the creation of a security zone around the Zaporozhye nuclear power plant with the participation of the IAEA. He expressed the hope that this dialogue, among other things, would help convince Kyiv to stop shelling the station.
