SVATOVO (LPR), Dec 18 Russian infantry with support aviation and artillery are pushing the Ukrainian army in different sectors of the front in the Svatov direction in the Donbass, one of the Russian servicemen with the call sign «Downpour», who performs tasks in this direction, said.
«The enemy is fiercely defending himself, but this is not an obstacle for us. We are fulfilling our tasks, slowly advancing, and everything is working out for us,» the Russian serviceman said.
He specified that artillery actively contributes to the advance of the infantry and aviation.
«Artillery duels are being conducted, now there is such a war (on this sector of the front — ed.). Everything is quite good,» the agency's interlocutor added.
The situation in the Svatov direction in Donbass escalated a few months ago. The Ukrainian military regularly shell the city of Svatovo itself with HIMARS MLRS and try to break through the defenses in this area, which is of strategic importance, opening the way to a number of LPR settlements.
