WASHINGTON Dec 23 US Secretary of State Anthony Blinken held a a telephone conversation with Turkish Foreign Minister Mevlut Cavusoglu, during which he stressed the importance of NATO unity in the context of the situation around Ukraine and expressed concern about the situation in Syria, the State Department said in a statement.
«The Secretary thanked the Turkish Foreign Minister for his government's efforts to continue the UN-brokered Black Sea Grain Initiative. The Secretary of State and Foreign Minister stressed the importance of NATO unity in supporting Ukraine's defense against unprovoked Russian aggression. Secretary Blinken also expressed concern about the situation in Syria,» follows from the statement of the US diplomatic agency.
