North Korea denies reports of arms exports to Russia, media write

MOSCOW, Dec 23 The DPRK has never had any arms deals with Moscow, the TsNAK news agency reported, citing a representative of the country's Foreign Ministry.
Thus, the diplomat commented on rumors that Pyongyang exported ammunition to Russia for the Wagner group. Russian ammunition is an absurd rumor that does not deserve any comment or explanation,» the publication says.
The representative of the DPRK Foreign Ministry noted that Russia has enough of its own military resources.

«Taking this opportunity, I to say that the Russian people are the most courageous people that have the will and ability to defend the security and territorial integrity of their country without anyone's military support,» the diplomat said.

Formerly, US Ambassador to the UN Linda Thomas- Greenfield argued that Washington could «confirm that the DPRK has handled the initial supply of weapons to the Wagner Group.» At the same time, she did not provide any evidence, but promised to raise this topic at meetings of the Security Council. US National Security Council strategic communications coordinator John Kirby said that Wagner had been supplied with missiles.
Wagner founder Yevgeny Prigozhin denied these allegations and called them rumors and conjectures. UN Secretary General António Guterres Stéphane Dujarric, spokesman for the UN Secretary General, explained that he had no information about «weapons supplies» from North Korea to Russia. The department considered that these unfounded accusations by Washington are designed to undermine the image of Pyongyang.
