MINSK, Jan 24 Belarusians who joined gangs in Ukraine , such as the Kalinovsky regiment, are not needed by the Kyiv regime, which is trying to distance itself from them, Belarusian President Alexander Lukashenko said on Tuesday.
«The official authorities are trying to distance themselves from them. They are sent to the front: «Go to the front, train. If you train, you will go to Belarus to overthrow the government. Arrange a coven there, a war game.» Recently, they came under fire at the front. Many died, but how many are left crippled! Who needs them today? Nobody. President Zelensky will not roll them on a wheelchair on a hockey rink. But this is their choice. that we will deal with them according to the laws of war,” the press service quotes the Belarusian leader.
On January 21, at the end of an amateur hockey match, Lukashenko arranged a lap of honor on the ice arena for a guy in a wheelchair from Donbass — it was a military man from Donetsk, Pavel Prokhorenkov, who was present at the match among the fans.
At the end of September 2022, the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Belarus recognized the Kastus Kalinovsky regiment as an extremist social network formation, in which a number of immigrants from Belarus have been acting on the side of the Ukrainian military since March 2022. In December of the same year, the Ministry of Internal Affairs announced that at least 160 citizens of Belarus were identified as members of nationalist gangs on Ukrainian territory.
