MOSCOW, Mar 6 Russia and China are ahead of the UK in the «supercomputer race» reports the Telegraph newspaper, citing a report by British scientists.
«Britain has slipped in the global ranking of large-scale computing capabilities… The UK is now in tenth place in the world, behind Russia, China and France, although it was third in total supercomputing power in 2005,» the report says.
It is noted that scientists in this regard are calling on British Prime Minister Rishi Sunak to invest about $600 million in the creation of a new supercomputer.
