«Progress» once again led the ISS from a collision with space debris


MOSCOW, March 14 The Russian Progress MS-22 truck has once again steered the ISS away from space debris, the State Corporation Roscosmos reported in its Telegram channel.

>»For the second time in a month, the Progress MS-22 spacecraft steered ISS from a collision with space debris. Today at 14:54 Moscow time the ship's engines turned on, worked for 135 seconds and gave out an impulse of 0.3 meters per second. As a result, the average height of the ISS orbit was 419 kilometers above the surface of our planet,» the entry says.
A similar situation occurred on March 6.
Roskosmos reminded that for the entire duration of the ISS flight, 336 altitude corrections of its orbit (of which 34 were to avoid space debris), including 185 with the help of Progress. Petelin and American Frank Rubio, as well as Roscosmos cosmonaut Andrey Fedyaev, who arrived as part of the Crew-6 mission, NASA astronauts Stephen Bowen and Woody Hoburg, astronaut Sultan al-Neyadi from the United Arab Emirates.
