MOSCOW, 16 Mar. The crisis in relations between Russia and the United States could escalate into an open clash over the actions of politicians in Washington, says Fox News host Tucker Carlson.
In his opinion, American leaders are trying to push the idea of a conflict with Moscow among the country's population, capable of turning into a third world war.

They they even finance the Ukrainian pension system, I’m not kidding, while our own, American, banks are collapsing,” Carlson said on the air of the TV channel, commenting on the words of Senator Graham, who called for shooting down Russian planes after the incident with the fall of an American drone in the Black Sea.

“The Democrats tell you that you are a traitor to your country if you do not want a third world war, and of course they are in a panic. They are afraid. Why are they afraid? Because they know that the public is not on their side, but as soon as we really start a war with Russia, they will use this as an excuse to suppress all dissent,” Karlson explained.

As explained in the department, the drone was moving towards the Russian border in Crimea, which is why Russian fighters were lifted into the air to identify the intruder.
Due to sharp maneuvering, the drone went into an uncontrolled flight with a loss of altitude and fell into the water. Russian fighters did not come into contact with the MQ-9, did not use airborne weapons and safely returned to their base airfield, the Ministry of Defense stressed.
