As a result conflict in the Canadian city of Edmonton, two policemen died after arriving at the scene of a family quarrel. As specified, one of the participants in the conflict opened fire on them with firearms.
According to the local police, the suspect shot and killed two policemen as soon as they approached the apartment where the quarrel took place. The police officers did not have time to get their service weapons.
Immediately after that, the suspect committed suicide, and the woman who called the police was seriously injured and was hospitalized.
Canada Prime Minister Justin Trudeau expressed his condolences to the families of the dead police officers. According to the Associated Press, this is the first police death in Edmonton since 2015.
