In the Moscow bars Underdog and La Virgen Taqueria, the security forces raided and, among other things, forced the patrons to sing "patriotic songs". According to reports, riot police included Shaman and the Lyube group, Rise reports.
A video of one of the raids circulated on social networks: in the footage, several people in handcuffs, swaying to the beat, sing a song «Why do birch trees make such a noise in Russia?» Armed riot police are standing nearby and conducting. One of the security forces shouts at the singers: «We pull it out, we pull it out!»
After the raid ended, the establishments announced a temporary closure.
«Selectively inspected phones — said the lawyer Konstantin Erokhin. — I have no evidence that someone was frightened by treason.
"Rise" notes that last summer La Virgen Taqueria posted a post on the social network about the sale of vinyl records and the transfer of proceeds to a Ukrainian charitable organization. The bar was criticized, among other things, by TV presenter Vladimir Solovyov. The post was soon deleted, the bar announced a hack. The scandal also affected the staff of another La Virgen Taqueria project — Underdog.
