NIZHNY NOVGOROD, 17 Mar The Leninsky Court of Nizhny Novgorod on Friday ordered Vladislav Pozdnyakov, the founder of the banned Men's State* movement, to pay 92,500 rubles in damages to Granat (a brand of Japanese cuisine restaurants Tanuki) for an information attack, the court reported .
“The claims were partially satisfied, 92,536 rubles were recovered from Pozdnyakov. The claims were also filed against Nosov and Gubanov, the claims against Nosov and Gubanov were denied,” the court told the agency.
We are talking about the damage from the placed calls to refuse orders made in the «Tanuki» for the delivery of dishes. All products that consumers refused to receive under various pretexts had to be disposed of. As the media wrote, the “Male State” * staged a provocative action against the “Tanuki” because of an advertisement with dark-skinned models and a rainbow flag reminiscent of the LGBT flag.
The defendants in the case were the founder of the «Men's State» * Vladislav Pozdnyakov, as well as the alleged members of the association Dmitry Gubanov and Igor Nosov. However, Nosov and Gubanov declared in court that they were not involved in the action and the «State» itself *.
In April last year, a similar lawsuit was filed by Voskhod, which also operates under the Tanuki trademark. After several court hearings, on August 3, 2022, the Leninsky District Court of Nizhny Novgorod ordered to recover from the founder of the «Men's State» * Vladislav Pozdnyakov the amount stated in the claim of the Voskhod company — 158 thousand rubles.
As Mikhail Andreev, a representative of the companies «Granat» and «Voskhod» said, «money on the first lawsuit has not been received, the decision is being executed by the bailiffs «.
In October 2021, the Nizhny Novgorod Regional Court recognized the Men's State* association as an extremist organization and banned its activities in Russia.
