State Duma Chairman Vyacheslav Volodin jokingly linked the banking crisis in the United States to a visit to the country by the former head of Rosnano, Anatoly Chubais. The parliamentarian suggested that he was «specially» released from Russia in order to ruin everything there (in the USA).
During a meeting with the participation of Energy Minister Nikolai Shulginov, the speaker of the State Duma said that everyone knows where Chubais is now .
«Look what's going on in America — banks began to collapse, Chubais arrived there. All this is not without reason,» Volodin joked.
Earlier in the USA two large banks collapsed at once: Silicon Valley Bank and Signature Bank. After that, a banking crisis began in the country.
Amid panic, investors began to sell securities of not only American, but also European banks.
