The turnout in the elections in Kazakhstan in the first seven hours was 46.84 percent

ASTANA, Mar 19 ─ . Election turnout deputies of the Majilis (lower house of parliament) and maslikhats (local representative bodies) of Kazakhstan as of 14.00 Astana time (11.00 Moscow time) amounted to 46.84%, member of the Central Election Commission of the Republic Anastasia Shchegortsova reported on the CEC Telegram channel.
In the elections on January 10, 2021, the voter turnout by this hour was 43.9%.
“According to the data provided by regional, cities of republican significance, capital commissions, as of 14.00 on March 19, 2023, 46.84% of the total number of citizens included in the lists received ballots,” Shchegortsova said at a briefing.
Most of all voters voted in the Kostanay region (62.36%), the least — in the city of Alma-Ata (15.38%).

Early parliamentary and local elections are being held in Kazakhstan on 19 March. The Central Election Commission registered the lists of all seven political parties registered in the republic. Among them are the most numerous «Amanat», the Democratic Party «Ak Zhol», the People's Party of Kazakhstan, the People's Democratic Patriotic Party «Auyl», the National Social Democratic Party, the Kazakh Green Party «Baytak» and the Respublica Party. Also, the elections of deputies of the Mazhilis are held in single-seat territorial constituencies.
