“At the beginning of the season, there were not enough international starts, I wanted to compete at the World Cup, but when the Russian Cup began, all these thoughts left. Now we run here, we don’t even look at the World Cup. «An interesting battle is now with Sergey Ustyugov. We understand that we can take first or second place in the World Cup without any problems,» Bolshunov told reporters.
The International Ski and Snowboard Federation (FIS) suspended Russians and Belarusians from the final starts of last season because of the situation in Ukraine. In October, the FIS Council extended the suspension for the 2022/23 season.
