VNUKOVO-2 AIRPORT, Mar 22 The planes of Chinese President Xi Jinping and his delegation took off from Moscow's Vnukovo airport, a correspondent said.
The Chinese leader was seen off by Deputy Prime Minister Dmitry Chernyshenko. The guard of honor sang the anthems of the two countries.
Thus, the three-day state visit of the head of China to Russia ended today.
On Monday, Vladimir Putin and Xi Jinping held informal talks in the Kremlin, and the next day, an official meeting was held at the Grand Kremlin Palace with the participation of delegations in narrow and broad formats.
The heads of state signed two joint statements: «On deepening relations of comprehensive partnership and strategic interaction entering a new era» and «On the plan development of key areas of Russian-Chinese economic cooperation until 2030».
As the Russian leader noted, a «very substantive and frank» exchange of views took place at the talks. The head of China, in turn, pointed out that thanks to common efforts, bilateral relations «demonstrate healthy and sustainable development dynamics.»
Putin also mentioned the readiness of Moscow and Beijing to create a joint working body for the development of the Northern Sea Route and said that the parties agreed on the main conditions for the construction of the Power of Siberia-2 gas pipeline. In addition, Moscow advocated the expansion of the role of national currencies in bilateral trade and the use of Chinese yuan in settlements with third countries.
Xi Jinping arrived in Moscow on March 20, this trip was his first foreign visit after being re-elected to the post of Chinese President for a third term. As the head of state himself explained, this decision is explained by historical logic: Russia and China are the largest neighboring powers and all-round strategic partners.
