BUENOS AIRES, March 26 A symphony concert was held in Venezuela on the occasion of the 150th anniversary of the Russian composer Sergei Rachmaninoff, the Russian embassy reported.
«»In the auditorium named after Simon Bolivar — one of the most iconic for Venezuela — with the support of the Russian Embassy and the representative office of Rossotrudnichestvo, a memorable concert of symphonic music and a thematic exhibition dedicated to the 150th anniversary of the great Russian composer Sergei Rachmaninov took place,» the diplomatic mission notes .
The Juan José Landata Orchestra performed Rachmaninov's Second Symphony. The program also included several romances and short works by the great Russian composer.

Here, world history is respected and culture,» said Russian Ambassador to Venezuela Sergei Melik-Bagdasarov.
