We have already reported about the imminent appearance of the new Exeed crossover in Russia, and now this information has been officially confirmed.
So far, Exeed is conducting focus groups with the aim of fine-tuning the content of the configurations to our realities. However, serious changes in the technology of the model, the production of which started recently in China, should not be expected. In our market, the car will carry the name RX painfully familiar from one Japanese brand. Even if this is a coincidence, then with the departure of competitors from Russia, Exeed really claims to be a premium niche.
According to the Chinese, when creating the car, they focused on reference European brands. This is probably why the RX has elements that frankly resemble the decisions of eminent opponents — these are seat control units on the door cards stylized as seats or horizontal climate control keys for rear passengers in the spirit of Mercedes-Benz, and door handles a la Range Rover.

The interior will be presented in three colors (black, white and burgundy), the body — in six colors. The equipment list of the two fixed configurations includes massage and ventilation functions (and for rear passengers), a pair of high-resolution touchscreens on the front panel, all-round cameras that allow you to assess the relief under the bottom, a projection display, a panoramic roof, a Sony audio system with 14 speakers and » disco lighting that plays to the beat of the music.
From a technical point of view, the machine also has a lot to offer. The engine and gearbox are uncontested: this is a two-liter turbo engine with 249 hp. (385 Nm), paired with a 7-speed Getrag robot with two wet clutches, as well as all-wheel drive with a rear axle coupling. Unlike the platform Exeed TXL, the RX has seven all-wheel drive presets. For the first time in the Exeed suspension, shock absorbers with variable stiffness will be installed.
The mid-size RX should go on sale by the summer and will join the galaxy of Chinese novelties expected in 2023. Closer to the season, the price will also be announced, which will certainly be higher than the Exeed TXL, which is estimated at 4.6 million for the top package.
