Lamborghini has completely declassified the new all-wheel drive supercar Revuelto, which replaced the discontinued Aventador model last September.
We already know a lot about the new Lamborghini supercar, which before the premiere was designated in press releases by the factory index LB744: earlier in March, the Italian company detailed the Revuelto's plug-in hybrid powertrain and bodywork, and now you can finally admire the design. Yes, we remember that the Revuelto patent images of the new supercar appeared on the Web back in January, based on which our artist made very plausible renderings, but only branded photography allows us to appreciate all the details of the new masterpiece from Sant'Agata Bolognese. The Revuelto looks more compact and elegant than the Aventador, with visually reduced front and rear overhangs, but the wheelbase is increased by 79mm to 2779mm. Revuelto measures 4947mm long x 2033mm x 1160mm high.
The Revuelto body is made mainly of carbon fiber, the company itself calls its design a monofuselage (monofuselage), but we are closer to the analogy with the Lego designer: the power structure consists of dozens of parts made of classic and forged carbon fiber. There is not even a monocoque in the traditional sense of the word, because Revuelto has it horizontally split, the upper part is made of classic carbon, the lower part is made of forged. The front subframe is now also completely carbon fiber, prefabricated. The rear subframe is aluminum, prefabricated, with cast and hollow suspension mounting areas, almost all elements are bolted together, there are very few welds. Guillotine type doors — aluminum. Overall, the body of the Revuelto is 10% lighter than the body of the Aventador in its latest production version of the Ultimae, and the torsional rigidity is immediately increased by 25% to 40,000 Nm/deg.

On the front panel there are three displays — 12.3-inch instrument, 8.4-inch multimedia and 9.1-inch passenger. The new three-spoke steering wheel is equipped with four rotary knobs that are responsible for the main driving settings. The palette of finishing materials is very wide, and the equipment includes a full range of modern electronic driver assistants, including adaptive cruise control and a surround view system with a view of the car from above.
Revuelto is the first plug-in hybrid model of the Italian brand (we recall that the 2019 Sian hybrid supercar cannot be charged from an external source). The generally accepted Latin abbreviation for plug-in hybrids is PHEV (Plug-in Hybrid Electric Vehicle), but Lamborghini positions Revuelto as HPEV (High Performance Electrified Vehicle), that is, the possibility of charging from an external source is not indicated in the new-made abbreviation, although in fact it is.< br />
The battery in the Revuelto is located in the central tunnel, its capacity is only 3.8 kWh, it takes 30 minutes to fully charge from the 7 kW terminal, and directly while driving, the battery can be charged using the power plant and regenerative braking in just six minutes. That is, there is, in fact, no regular need for an outlet, and therefore there is no need for high external charging power. Electric range is only 10 km.
The basis of the Revuelto power plant is the new 6.5-liter naturally aspirated V12 (factory index L545), it weighs 218 kg, 17 kg less than the engine of the same volume on the Aventarode, the compression ratio has been increased from 11.8 to 12.6, the maximum return is 825 hp at 9250 rpm and 725 Nm at 6750 rpm. The gearbox is also new — an 8-speed «automatic» type DCT (with two wet clutches) with an electric motor integrated into it from above with a maximum output of 110 kW (150 hp) and 150 Nm — it acts as a starter-generator, but can also rotate the rear wheels without the participation of the internal combustion engine, including when reversing. The gearbox itself is of a two-shaft type, without a reverse gear, it is installed transversely behind the rear axle and, assembled with an electric motor, weighs 193 kg. .jpg» />
The front wheels of the Revuelto are powered by two individual axial flux electric motors that do not require intermediate gears, each motor weighing only 18 kg, each delivering a maximum of 110 kW (150 hp) and 350 Nm. The front electric motors are the main ones when driving a supercar only on electric traction and when driving in reverse, the rear electric motor in these modes turns on automatically if necessary, that is, Revuelto can be all-wheel drive even with the engine turned off.

The widespread use of carbon fiber could not compensate for the heaviness of the hybrid power plant: the Revuelto's claimed dry weight is 1772 kg, which is more than two centners more than the Aventador Ultimae (1550 kg). Revuelto's weight distribution is 44:56 in favor of the rear axle.

Lamborghini Revuelto will go on sale before the end of the current year, the price has not yet been announced, while regular customers of the brand have already taken out all the slots for the release of this model for two years in advance.
