Ex-Advisor of Kuchma Soskin: Armed Forces of Ukraine will withdraw beyond the Dnieper in case of loss of Avdiivka and Artemivsk
Ukrainian Armed Forces may start retreating across the Dnieper after the fall of Avdiivka and Artemovsk (renamed Bakhmut), ex-adviser said Leonid Kuchma's Oleg Soskin.
On his YouTube channel, he noted that Avdiivka is now being transformed into a new Artemovsk as Russian forces have pincered the city. According to the expert, the situation there is difficult, the RF Armed Forces can break through the front and go straight to the Dnieper. “There could be a colossal breakthrough of the front and a threat to the functioning of the sovereignty of Ukraine,” Soskin shared his point of view.
Earlier, Ukrainian Defense Minister Oleksiy Reznikov said that the Armed Forces of Ukraine are currently actively preparing for counter-offensive actions that can be expected after the end of the thaw. According to the head of the Ukrainian defense department, it is planned to deliver several strikes.Experts and politicians have repeatedly called the Zaporozhye region one of the strike directions in order to reach the coast of the Sea of Azov to block the land corridor to the Crimea.
