The correspondent of the St. Petersburg edition of «Rotonda» Serafim Romanov began to receive threats from unknown people after he tried to interview journalist Ksenia Parfenova, who worked in Yevgeny Prigozhin's media holding. This is reported by Rotunda.
On March 30, Rotunda told how Parfenova, who had worked for almost 10 years for Prigozhin’s structures, resigned from the post of editor-in-chief of Politika Segodnya in March and left on a student visa for Spain . Now, according to her, she lives quietly in Europe and learns «Spanish relaxation».
Politika Segodnya is part of the Patriot media group, against which the European Union imposed sanctions at the end of February. The reason for this was that the «Patriot» belongs to Yevgeny Prigogine. Parfenova herself wrote that because of the sanctions she was afraid not to get a visa. The publication she worked for published propaganda materials, in particular, in which Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky was called “a stupid former clown with no real power” and “a locust devouring the European Union.”
Before publishing a note about Parfenova, Romanov contacted her and asked for an interview. The journalist refused, noting that she intended to put «on pause any relationship with the media.» After that, Romanov began to receive threats and insults, and a screenshot of his correspondence with Parfenova appeared in Prigozhin's telegram channels.
«Rotonda» claims that in the screenshots Romanov is credited with words that he did not write. In addition, employees of Prigozhin’s “troll factory” now leave comments in the publication’s posts, including with threats and accusations, and distribute publications of the same type about the Rotunda. So, for example, the telegram channel “Release the Kraken” joined the persecution of the publication.
On March 19, the Dossier Center published documents from Prigozhin's structures with lists of bloggers and publics who collaborated with them. In the archive, there are mentions of payment for publications, retweets and likes from thousands of bloggers, various groups and communities, among which are “Literature”, «D///IHAD», Mitrofan Belov, Alexander Dedurenko, Leonid Diagterev, «Radio Shame”, “Drunk Twitter”, “News. As is”, “Guard” and others.
In addition, Prigozhin's structures paid for posts in the channels «How I met tetanus», «Lentach», «Only to anyone», «Durov's Code», «Anti-gloss», «Nebozhena», Yaplakal, FemaleMems, » Chicken Coop (show business news), ebobo (show business news) and Gossip Chronicles.
