NOVOSIBIRSK, April 1 The number of people injured in a road accident involving a passenger bus near Novosibirsk has increased to 11 people, three of them were hospitalized, a representative of the regional Ministry of Health told reporters .
As reported, on Saturday at about 11.00 am (07.00 Moscow time) on the 87th kilometer of the Novosibirsk-Kochki-Pavlodar highway there was a collision between a passenger bus and a Chevrolet Niva car. As a result of the accident, the bus overturned, there were 47 passengers in it. The driver of the car died. Earlier, the regional Ministry of Health reported eight victims.
«Three more victims of the accident were delivered to the Ordynskaya Central District Hospital. Doctors examined all of them, hospitalized two of them — they are in a state of moderate severity. Of the three who were hospitalized earlier, doctors write out two, including a child. Thus, three victims remain in the CRH hospital,» the ministry said.
Earlier, the Regional Ministry of Health reported that immediately after the accident, eight people were taken to the hospital, of which, after examination, two adults and one child were hospitalized.
According to the authorities of the region, the cause of a road accident in the Novosibirsk region with the death of a person and eight injured, according to preliminary data, was the departure of the bus into the oncoming lane.
