DONETSK, Apr 1 Ukrainian troops for one and a half hours, they fired 18 shells of the «NATO» caliber of 155 millimeters in Donetsk, Yakovlevka, Leonidovka and Yelenovka, the DPR representative office at the Joint Center for Control and Coordination of Issues Related to War Crimes of Ukraine (JCCC) reported.
«Fire was recorded from the side of the Ukrainian Armed Forces (Armed Forces of Ukraine — ed.) in the direction: 18.15 — the settlement of Zhelannoe pervoe — the city of Donetsk (Kirov district): three shells with a caliber of 155 millimeters were fired; 18.00 — the settlement of Lastochkino — the settlement of Yakovlevka : fired five shells with a caliber of 155 mm; 19.30 — the settlement of Leonidovka — the settlement of Gorlovka (Tsentralno-gorodskoy district): four shells of 155 mm caliber were fired; 19.15 — the settlement of Katerinovka — the settlement of Yelenovka: six shells of 155 mm caliber were fired, — according to the message of the representative office in the telegram channel.
Artillery with a caliber of 155 millimeters is used by NATO countries. The United States supplied Kyiv with long-range M777 howitzers with a caliber of 155 millimeters, Ukrainian troops are actively using them to shell the cities of the Donetsk and Luhansk People's Republics. Also, the Ukrainian troops were supplied with German PzH 2000 self-propelled artillery mounts, Polish Krab self-propelled guns and French CAESAR self-propelled guns using shells of this caliber.
