The Industrial District Court of Izhevsk fined a local lawyer 30,000 rubles because of anti-war statements during a consultation with women whose relatives in the colony were recruited for the war in Ukraine. This was reported by Advokatskaya Street.
The lawyer was found guilty of «discrediting» the army (Part 1 of Article 20.3.3 of the Code of Administrative Offenses). An administrative case against her was initiated on the basis of a denunciation by Olga Dyageleva and Elena Shcherbakova, two local residents whom she advised. The reason for drawing up the protocol was a private conversation.
Shcherbakova and Diaghileva asked for legal assistance, as their relatives, serving sentences in the Udmurt colonies, did not get in touch for a long time. The lawyer explained to them that it was highly likely that the prisoners were recruited into Wagner PMC and sent to the war in Ukraine. One of those who asked for advice recorded the conversation on a dictaphone.
At the same time, according to Shcherbakova and Diaghileva, during the conversation, the lawyer “repeatedly discredited the armed forces of the Russian Federation and the government of the Russian Federation, and also deliberately negatively assessed the use of the RF Armed Forces in a special military operation in Ukraine. Therefore, after consultation, they complained about her to the police.
In their written complaints, the women separately noted that the door of the lawyer's office «was not locked» and therefore «anyone can enter there.» Because of this, the court considered that the words uttered by the lawyer were public, because anyone who entered the office could hear them.
