Chinese electric car company Hozon Auto made an official presentation of its sports coupe: at the prototype stage it was called Neta E, the production version will go on sale in the coming months as Neta GT.
Hozon Auto is the commercial name of Zhejiang Hezhong New Energy, which was founded in 2014 by Fang Yunzhou, an entrepreneur who previously worked at Chery and was in charge of electric models there. Hozon Auto sold 152,073 vehicles in China last year, up 118% from 2021. The company's current lineup consists of the Neta V subcompact crossover, the Neta U compact crossover and the Neta S large flagship sedan. The Neta GT coupe, built on the same premium modular platform as the Neta S, will soon join the range.
The Neta GT premiere was framed as a fashion show with a lot of costumed beauties, but there are practically no new technical details — the main data about the novelty is still at the end Last year, the Chinese Ministry of Industry published, but the dimensions of the serial coupe have changed slightly.

Neta GT is more compact than its sister sedan Neta S: the overall length of the “two-door” is 4715 mm, the width is 1979 mm, the height is 1415 mm, the wheelbase is 2770 mm. The coupe looks quite impressive, but the wheels of the “format” 245/45 R19 for a modern sports car seem too small. Even more embarrassing is the modest size of the front brakes — usually larger discs are installed on cars of this class, with multi-piston calipers.

The interior of the Neta GT is decorated in the same minimalist style as the Neta S, but the coupe has a larger instrument screen and no projection screen. The vertically oriented 17.6-inch central multimedia screen is responsible for all the basic settings, there are almost no physical buttons in the car, the role of the power plant mode selector is performed by the right steering column lever. The front seats with integral head restraints and pronounced lateral support look solid, but the two cramped rear seats are not even equipped with head restraints, but they can accept two child seats — there are Isofix mounts. In addition to the main trunk, the coupé has an additional trunk in the front.

The power reserve on one charge will be 560-580 km, depending on the equipment. Pricing has not been announced either — it will probably be done in two weeks at the Shanghai Auto Show.
