Ukraine received the first tranche of $2.7 billion from the IMF

MOSCOW, April 3 Ukraine received the first tranche from the International Monetary Fund (IMF) in the amount of $2.7 billion under the new financing program, the head of the country's national bank said Andrey Pyshny.
“Ukraine received the first tranche from the IMF under the new expanded financing program. This is 2 billion special drawing rights, which equals approximately $2.7 billion,” Pyshny wrote on Facebook* (an extremist social network banned in Russia).
On March 31, the Executive Board of the International Monetary Fund (IMF) approved the allocation of $15.6 billion to Ukraine as part of a four-year loan program. It is noted that this is the largest loan for Ukraine and the first significant financing package from the IMF for a country involved in the conflict.

In February, Prime Minister of Ukraine Denys Shmyhal announced that Kiev expects to receive the first tranche from the IMF in the first or second quarters of this year.
