VOLGOGRAD, April 21 Kalmykia will receive 500 million rubles from the federal budget to create an agro-industrial park in 2023, Deputy Prime Minister Dmitry Chernyshenko announced.
Chernyshenko is in Kalmykia on a working visit. According to the vice-premier's press service, on Friday he met with the head of the republic Batu Khasikov, the parties discussed the socio-economic development of the region and tourism issues. It is noted that within the framework of the individual program for the development of Kalmykia in 2022, state support was provided to small and medium-sized businesses in the implementation of about 100 investment projects, and one and a half billion rubles of private investment were attracted.
«In 2023, Kalmykia will receive a subsidy in the amount of 500 million rubles for the creation of an agro-industrial park, which will significantly affect the economic growth of the region,» Chernyshenko said in a statement.
It is noted that Chernyshenko, during a visit to Kalmykia, inspected the sewerage facilities in Elista, where reconstruction has been underway since 2022. According to the press service, during the visit, it was proposed to report to the Prime Minister about the need for additional funding to continue the construction of the facility.
