MOSCOW, 20 Apr. Russian President Vladimir Putin met with Deputy Finance Minister Mikhail Kotyukov and offered him to head the Krasnoyarsk Territory.
“You are aware, in the material of what the Krasnoyarsk Territory significance for the country as a whole, and, it seems to me, they have quite approached the fact that you can head such an important entity. Are you ready for this yourself?” the head of state asked.
Kotyukov, who himself comes from the Krasnoyarsk Territory, thanked the president for his trust and agreed. ensuring the transport connectivity of the territory, transport accessibility for the inhabitants of the region, (providing. – Approx. ed.) with all the necessary infrastructure,” the official said.
He also noted the problems of an increased burden on the environment, which “have always been quite trembling and relevant for Krasnoyarsk residents.”

Putin, in turn, noted the contribution of the current governor, Alexander Uss, to the development of the region.
Thursday afternoon, Uss said that he had received an offer from the president to continue working at the federal level. He was elected governor of the Krasnoyarsk Territory in September 2018. Prior to that, he headed the regional parliament for 20 years.
“I am sure that the transfer of affairs will take place in a businesslike, comradely manner, and if necessary, you can always rely on what has been done, on his experience in leading the region Here, I have no doubt that a business atmosphere will be provided,” the Russian leader said.
Mikhail Kotyukov was appointed Deputy Minister of Finance in March 2020. Since May 2018, he has served as Minister of Science and Higher Education. Previously, he headed the Federal Agency for Scientific Organizations.
