MOSCOW, April 21 The Moscow Arbitration Court accepted for consideration the claim of Sberbank demanding to recover more than 7.2 million euros (more than 643 million rubles) from the German Deutsche Bank, follows from the published ruling of the court.
The lawsuit was filed with the court on April 17, preliminary hearings on it are scheduled for May 30. The grounds for the claims and other details are not yet given in the court materials.
The court, «based on the fact that the defendant in the application submitted to the court is a foreign legal entity,» suggested that Sberbank take «actions to assist the court in notifying Deutsche Bank Aktiengesellschaft of the date, time, and place of the trial.»
Deutsche Bank is the largest bank in Germany in terms of assets, founded in 1870. The bank's staff as of December 31, 2022 amounted to 84.93 thousand employees.
