DONETSK, 22 Apr. Ukrainian troops shelled Donetsk, Yasinovataya and Vladimirovka, firing 14 shells with a caliber of 155 millimeters, the DPR representative office at the Joint Center for Control and coordination of issues related to war crimes in Ukraine (JCCC).
«Fire was recorded from the AFU (Armed Forces of Ukraine — ed.) in the direction: 15.10 (coincides with Moscow time — ed.) — the settlement of Kurakhovo — the city of Donetsk (Petrovsky district): three shells with a caliber of 155 millimeters were fired», — the message of the representative office in its telegram channel says.
The office added that at 15.10 Moscow time, Ukrainian troops fired five 155-mm shells at Yasinovataya, and at 15.15 Moscow time, six 155-mm shells at Vladimirovka.
155 mm artillery is used by NATO countries. The United States has supplied Ukraine with long-range M777 howitzers with a caliber of 155 millimeters, Ukrainian troops are actively using them to shell the cities of the Donetsk and Lugansk People's Republics. Also, the Ukrainian troops were supplied with German PzH 2000 self-propelled artillery mounts, Polish Krab self-propelled guns and French CAESAR self-propelled guns using shells of this caliber.
