MOSCOW, 25 Apr. The Honored Coach of Russia Alexander Zhulin criticized Russian figure skater Alena Kostornaya for comparing Tutberidze's methods with a conveyor belt.
Earlier, the athlete said that Tutberidze's system is aimed at getting results «by any means.» «This one broke down — the next one is coming,» Kostornaya noted.

«When Kostornaya won the European Championship, she somehow did not give any interviews. Then everything suited her. And when the career went down the drain, impartial comments and interviews immediately appeared. I think Eteri Georgievna will somehow survive all these comments,» Zhulin told Sport24.
Kostornaya worked in the Tutberidze group until the summer of 2020, and then moved to Evgeni Plushenko for a year, after which she returned to Tutberidze. In March 2022, she changed her coach again, moving to the group of Elena Buyanova, and last January she decided to compete in pair skating.
