MOSCOW, 24 Apr. Andrey Petrov, People's Artist of Russia, choreographer, founder, artistic director and chief choreographer of the Kremlin Ballet Theatre, died at the age of 77. This was reported in the Telegram channel of the Kremlin Palace.
“The life of Andrei Borisovich has always been filled with creative impulses, conscientious creative work and an active desire to contribute to the preservation and development of Russian choreographic art,” the obituary says.
The cause of death was not specified in the publication.
Andrey Petrov is the son of Olga Petrova, actress of the Moscow Romen Theater and Boris Kholfin, dancer of the Bolshoi Theatre. He graduated from the Moscow Choreographic School and joined the troupe of the Bolshoi Theater. «Kremlin Ballet» he founded in 1990.
