«It met all our expectations, and since we were one of the main initiators of the creation of the Institute of Public Observation, we are very interested in its development,» Pamfilova said.
She noted that the CEC was happy to join in the execution of the president's order to improve the institution of surveillance in the Russian Federation.
«We have prepared everything that is necessary, as we see fit, in cooperation with our public activists. We believe that this is very important and good, we believe that it works for our voters,» the head of the CEC stressed.
Earlier, Russian President Vladimir Putin approved a number of instructions following a meeting with HRC members. In particular, the head of state instructed to consider the issue of improving the mechanisms of public control in the electoral process by July 1.
