Freddie Mercury collection up for auction

MOSCOW, 26 Apr. A collection of 1,500 Freddie Mercury items is up for auction, writes The Guardian.
After the artist's death in 1991, these items remained in his mansion «Garden Lodge» in London. He bequeathed them and the house to Mary Austin.
“For many years I have had the joy and privilege of living in the midst of all these wonderful things. But the time has come to make the difficult decision to close this very special chapter in my life,” Austin explains his decision.
Among the lots is a crown and a mantle. In this image, the singer chose to go on stage at Knebworth in 1986 to perform God Save the Queen. This was the band's last gig with Mecury.

Customers will also be offered a handwritten draft of We are the Champions. It is expected that its price will reach 300 thousand pounds.

Another item is a Tiffany silver mustache comb, 11 watercolors by the Russian artist Erte (Roman Tyrtov) and other works of art.
Pre-auction exhibitions will take place in London, New York, Los Angeles and Hong Kong.
It was previously reported that the first posthumous edition of Lermontov's poetry was sold at auction.
