MOSCOW, April 30Sales of swimwear in Russia in April increased by a third compared to last year, and the average purchase receipt rose by 13%, to 2,411 rubles, calculated for the Check Index analyst and the Wild Orchid lingerie chain.
«The average bill for the purchase of swimwear in the country amounted to 2411 rubles, which is 13% higher than last year. The number of purchases increased year-on-year by 24%. In Moscow, swimwear is purchased on average for 3646 rubles, which is 1% lower than a year ago. The number of purchases in the capital increased by 36% over the year,» the analysts said.
The top sellers, according to the authors of the study, are one-piece swimsuits with asymmetrical cutouts, reversible models, as well as options with a high thigh cut. In the color scheme, golden, green in neon shades, as well as options in animal prints are most often chosen.
Experts note that increased demand is fixed in the price segment from 2 to 5 thousand rubles, where domestic brands are more widely represented. At the same time, there is still interest in imported brands, primarily Italian ones.
At the same time, in May, the authors of the study expect the demand for bathing sets to be at levels twice as high as last year.
