MOSCOW, 28 Apr. A collective letter from the artists has appeared on the official website of the Tchaikovsky Drama and Comedy Theatre. It explains the reasons for the dismissal of the artistic director and director Alexander Borisov, as well as the cancellation of the play «There is no death», which is dedicated to the theme of SVO.
“The theater actors have never spoken out against the CVO. We support Russia and worry about our guys who are now fighting for our security,” the text of the appeal says.
The authors of the letter emphasize that the decision of some actors to leave the theater has nothing to do with the play «There is no death» — it «was made after sharp and impartial statements about the actors by Borisov A.N. during the analysis of a completely different performance», and «also due to the unhealthy atmosphere that has developed in the team through the efforts of Borisov A.N.
The letter also mentions the reasons for the dismissal of the artistic director.
“
“Under his leadership, the actors refused to continue working,” the authors of the appeal explain. – Borisov was asked to leave the theater after the premiere of “There is no Death”, but the premiere was canceled precisely by his decision. They expressed their readiness to play a performance about the NWO with another director.
Earlier, Alexander Borisov said that he had been fired from the theater without explanation. Writer Zakhar Prilepin said that the artistic director was removed for supporting the NWO. Prilepin's message was published in the Telegram channel «Specially for RT».
